In 1926, Maggie moves from Indiana to New York City. Her three best friends, Tom, Alfie and Gordie hop a train to visit her and disappear. At the age of 74, Maggie remembers her friends and wonders again what happened to them. And then, they are in New York, still 14, 15 and 16 years old. This is a fun time travel story that was totally unexpected to me. I really enjoyed reading about the 1920's, the stock market crash and then following Maggie through the years. A great "what if" story.
